WHAT HAS GONE BEFORE...
M arvel Girl is kidnapped by alien Shi'ar warriors. She is taken to another galaxy and put on trial for crimes committed by the Phoenix. The Guardians of the Galaxy help the X-Men rescue her.
During the adventure, the X-Men also encounter the Starjammers, a small group of space pirates. The young Cyclops discovers that his long-lost father is still alive. Corsair, leader of the Starjammers, offers Cyclops a chance to travel through the stars with him. Cyclops accepts. The other X-Men return to Earth.
Kitty Pryde and Star-Lord become attracted to each other. They stay in contact via hologram communication.
The Guardians gain two new members: Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel, and Flash Thompson, aka Agent Venom.
Star-Lord discovers that his father J-Son, the deposed ruler of the Spartax Empire, has a secret identity: Mr Knife, a sinister mercenary who leads the ruthless Slaughter Squad. Mr Knife recruits Thane, the son of Thanos. He promises Thane infinite power...
